Cinnamon french toast with a berry delicious sauce

My attempts at making french toast have always been dismal. But this morning in AOL's strategic placement of topics that interest me (i.e. food), I was pulled in by this demonstration by a chef hottie. Now wouldn't you like to have that for breakfast?

The toast, that is.

I didn't cuss when I realized a few pieces were missing because this puzzle has travelled with me for several years. Compared to other puzzles I've done, this was the most time-consuming and difficult because it's made up teeny-tiny images to make this big dolphin image.

You likey?

I'll pull over for these.

The following are my favorite zumba music selections; I LOVE the beat to each. I love these so much that if I heard it on the radio while driving, I'd pull over and start dancing on the curb, grass, etc. I have no interest in finding meaning in the lyrics, and I don't care if it's nasty or vulgar or demeans women. This music makes me dance, yo.

Give it a listen.

Think twice before judging 1.

Once in a while, I come across people who assume I am lonely because I am a single woman in my thirties. They assume I feel alone because I live by myself. They assume I don't go anywhere because I don't have a "significant other" to go with. They assume I must be miserable without children. They assume I am sad.

These people are in no way bad individuals; they are simply surprised at how my life is or can be remarkably different from theirs.

Perhaps the point I am trying to make is: Just because my life is not the same as yours doesn't mean it is no less exciting and fulfilled.

So there.

Inner warrior unleashed

I hope you're not sick of reading about my fitness-slash-exercise experiences. Working out at the gym regularly has become part of my life now, and I pray that I continue even though my results (on the scale) is discouraging. I tell myself: Self, it's all muscle; that's why the needle's taking its sweet-ass time moving to the left.

Whatever works, right? Holla!

I went to Body Combat for the first time today and unleashed my inner warrior. Seriously, there's a stance called warrior, and I love it for two reasons--I bet I look bad-ass doing it, and it's part of cool-down. The instructor was super-nice and made me laugh pretending he was being beat up by our upper-cuts. At one point, he made the class run around the room while he high-fived us. I swear, I smile while I exercise now, even during lunges and kicks. I know; WTF, right?

Here's a taste of Les Mills Body Combat, although the choreography changes to keep things fresh. Perhaps one day I'll show you my warrior cool-down.
